Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation in the field of healthcare discussed

On 22 August 2025, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Meredov and the Minister of Health Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Khudayyarov.

The meeting focused on key issues of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical education, and the exchange of experience between the two countries. 

During the meeting, Ambassador Sh. Meredov emphasised that, as part of the implementation of the Government program «Saglyk», the creation of a large medical cluster is successfully continuing in the city of Arkadag, which aims to conduct scientific work in the field of medicine development, as well as the production of various medical products.

In addition, the Turkmen side familiarized the delegation with the activities of the “Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment” enterprise and presented various types of medical products that are in daily demand and meet international quality standards, which are manufactured by the enterprise.
