Development of trade and economic partnership with Perm Krai, Russia
As part of a working trip to the Perm Krai, Consul General of Turkmenistan in Kazan (Russian Federation) Atadurdy Bayramov was received by the Governor of the region Dmitry Makhonin.
During the talks, the parties expressed the mutual interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. As emphasized, the intensification of partnership with large regions of the Russian Federation was one of the promising directions for the development of a multifaceted dialogue with the Russian Federation.
The Governor of the Perm Krai expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of cooperation. Thus, in January- June 2020, the trade turnover increased by 77%. In this aspect, it was suggested to hold online meetings between the representatives of the business community of the Perm Krai with members of the Chamber of Commerce and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan to determine new areas of interest.
Representatives of the Perm Krai administration were familiarized with the priority vectors of the social, economic and foreign policy strategy of the Turkmen leader, as well as with the festive events on occasion of the 25th anniversary of neutrality. Consul General Atadurdy Bayramov presented the book "Turkmen Alabay" by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Governor Dmitry Makhonin.
On the same day, October 13, the Consul General held a meeting with President of the Union "Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry" Oleg Zhdanov. Since the key sectors of economy of this region are mechanical engineering and metallurgy, as well as the oil, chemical and petrochemical industries, the emphasis was placed on the potential of partnership, taking into account the course of Turkmenistan towards industrial diversification and modernization, the development of import-substituting industries. It was agreed to hold online negotiations between the business circles of our country and the Perm Krai of the Russian Federation.
