The Ambassador of Panama is accredited to Turkmenistan

On March 14, 2024, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D.Gulmanova accepted credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to Turkmenistan Rolando Enrique Barrow Noada.

On behalf of the head of state, the Speaker of the Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in developing bilateral relations.

The Ambassador, in turn, conveyed warm words of greetings to the President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the top leadership of Panama, as well as wishes for well-being and prosperity to the Turkmen people.

During the meeting, the diplomat was familiarized with the main directions and priorities of domestic and foreign policy, socio-economic transformations being carried out in our country. It was noted that one of the important vectors of the country’s foreign policy activity is the expansion of fruitful ties with the states of Latin America.

Along with this, information was provided about the structure and multilateral activities of the Mejlis. In this context, a proposal was made to establish close inter-parliamentary contacts.

Among the promising areas of cooperation were the areas of transport, shipping, and tourism.

The countries' interest in intensifying interstate dialogue within the framework of authoritative international organizations, primarily the UN, was especially noted.

The Ambassador of Panama assured that he would make every effort to expand bilateral friendly ties.
