Presentation of Turkmenistan's medical cluster held in Uzbekistan

On September 10, 2025, a meeting was held in Tashkent between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Sh. Meredov and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Khudayarov with the participation of the Turkmen delegation.

The parties discussed at the meeting issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical education and exchange of experience between the countries.

During the meeting, the Turkmen side informed about the implementation of a large medical cluster in the city of Arkadag, which is aimed at conducting scientific work in the field of drug development, as well as the production of various medical products. In addition, the Turkmen side acquainted with the activities of the Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment enterprise, which was awarded a certificate of quality compliance of the State Certification System of Turkmenistan, and presented various types of medical products manufactured by the enterprise.

Also, as part of the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Uzbekistan, a presentation of the medical cluster of Turkmenistan was held in the building of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery named after Academician V.Vakhidov. The event was attended by heads and representatives of medical centers of Uzbekistan, as well as Uzbek entrepreneurs.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Meredov emphasized that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, a number of comprehensive measures are being taken in the country to further develop the domestic healthcare system.

Speakers at the presentation noted that the medical cluster being created in the city of Arkadag is a comprehensive innovative initiative aimed at conducting scientific work in the field of developing medicines, medical technologies and equipment, providing modern education in this area, as well as using the best world practices in the field of protecting the health of citizens.
