The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Morocco presented his сredentials

On 14 November 2025, a ceremony was held in the city of Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, during which the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Morocco (with residence in Ankara) Mekan Ishanguliyev presented his Letters of Credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita.

Within the framework of the ceremony, a bilateral meeting took place, during which Ambassador M.Ishanguliyev conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed to His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

For his part, Minister N. Bourita expressed sincere gratitude for the warm greetings and kind wishes, and requested that friendly return greetings from His Majesty King Mohammed VI be conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening the relations between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Morocco, including the expansion of bilateral political dialogue, as well as trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

In addition, the sides exchanged views on preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held on 12 December of this year in Ashgabat.
