The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Gambia held a telephone conversation

On 26 November 2025, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad of the Republic of Gambia Sering Modou Njie.

During the conversation, the sides discussed cooperation in international structures, in particular within the framework of the United Nations.

It was emphasized that a delegation of the Republic of Gambia led by the Vice-President Muhammad Jallow participated in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which took place in Turkmenistan in August of current year.

The parties agreed to continue active cooperation. In this context, they viewed issues related to preparations for the International Forum to be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and International Day of Neutrality.
