This year's sowing campaign will use high-yielding, well-proven varieties - Sahrai, Dzhuvan, Bitarap, Miras, Yeloten-1, Yeloten-3, etc., developed by the specialists of the Research Institute Agriculture. Cultivation of Russian wheat seeds in Turkmenistan has been continuing since 2007 as part of the implementation of the protocol of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council on Seed Issues of the CIS. During this time, in the soil-climatic conditions, the countries successfully tested and cultivated varieties: "Batko", "Nota", "Vassa", "Irishka", "Krupinka" and "Jubilee-100".
Currently, in each region of the country are operating modern grain-processing enterprises, equipped with equipment from the best European manufacturers. In 2014, eight new elevators were put into operation, calculated in total for a one-time storage of 360 thousand tons of grain. The total capacity of grain processing enterprises corresponds to the average yield of wheat fields and the needs of the population, amounting to more than one million tons of flour of the first and higher grades enriched with premixes of ferrous sulfate and folic acid per year.
