Ashgabat hosts final round of national vocal contest
The capital song and music centre Ashgabat hosted final round of «Ýaňlan, Diýarym!» TV young singer contests.
Traditionally held under «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» contest announced by the President of Turkmenistan on the threshold of Independence Day, this project supports creative realization of youth and promotes their interest in spiritual treasury of the nation and rich musical culture.
The words of greeting message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed to the participants of final round of «Ýaňlan, Diýarym!» TV contest have sounded with special solemnity.
The art review, which was organized by the Ministry of Culture, State Committee for Television, Broadcasting and Cinematography, regional and Ashgabat administrations, has helped new celebrities to shine on the stage.
The completions had three rounds. More than 770 talented singers from the capital and all regions of the country including singers of various art bands, students of higher and secondary special educational facilities, young military personnel, personnel of cultural and other spheres took part in «Ýaňlan, Diýarym!» contest. 10 young singers received the right to participate in regional tours of the contest. Only two aspirants from each region and Ashgabat have managed to enter the final.
Today, 12 best young singers have met at the final gala concert on the capital’s stage. Many of the finalists received initial musical education in art schools, developed their abilities in rural Cultural centres, amateur bands available in all districts of the country.
Performance of aspirants for the final has been judged by professional jury in five criteria. The participants of the review performed vocal works under music accompaniment and a capella. At the same time, originality of performance and artistic performance were evaluated. It is worth to mention that voting procedure and calculation of votes were carried out using digital technologies this year.
2020 concert programme has reflected grandiose achievement of time, succession of traditions of national art as well as 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of the country.
National songs and modern vocal works were performed from the open stage by young talents. They harmonically merge modern rhythms and national tunes. Some of the contesters have chosen the songs written by outstanding Turkmen composers on the lyric of classical poets.
Original arrangement of songs and original performance manner of the artists were deservingly appreciated by spectators who presented loud applauses to them.
Summing up of the results and announcement of the winners have taken place in the end of song and music festival. The winners are Gochguly Saparov (Ashgabat), Saparmyrat Atayev (Ahal Region), Guychberdy Dervayisov (Balkan Region), Mekan Nazarmadov (Dashoguz Region), Babajan Hanmuradov (Lebap Region), Maysa Myradova (Mary Region).
