A round table was held in the format of a videoconference between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Institute of Romania

On November 10, 2020, a round table was held in the format of a videoconference between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Institute of Romania on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

The meeting chairmanship of the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research of the IMO of the MFA of Turkmenistan Begench Myatliev and Deputy Director of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute Ileana Raceru.

The participants of the round table talked about the cooperation between the two diplomatic higher educational institutions, the Turkmen-Romanian relations. They paid special attention to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

As part of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the United Nations and the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the first UN Regional Model Conference was held on October 27-29, 2020. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Ashgabat and the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

Representatives of higher education institutions in the field of diplomacy and international relations, including the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, were involved in the work of the UN Model Conference. The participants expressed their readiness to continue negotiations within the framework of this Model UN, organizing similar events in their work plans.

They also thanked President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his efforts to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
