Telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan and President of Turkey

On January 1, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation.

Warmly greeting each other, the leaders of the two countries congratulated each other on the New Year, wishing health, happiness, great success in all undertakings in the name of prosperity of the people of Turkmenistan and Turkey.

During the conversation, the leaders of the two states expressed satisfaction with the fact that at present, centuries-old friendly relations served as a solid basis for further strengthening interstate ties. The countries develop multifaceted cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. A fruitful bilateral dialogue is built within the framework of international organizations on the principles of mutual understanding and support.

Expressing satisfaction with the positive dynamics of trade and economic ties, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of further expanding partnerships in the energy, transport and communication, and industrial sectors.

The humanitarian sphere stands an integral part of interstate relations, which is also due to the historical, cultural and spiritual community that unites the peoples of Turkmenistan and Turkey. In this regard, the mutual focus on deepening fruitful contacts in the fields of science, education, culture and health was confirmed.

In conclusion of the conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan once again exchanged congratulated each other on the New Year, sincerely wishing the fraternal peoples of the two countries well-being and prosperity.
