COOPERATION WITH THE WORLD BANK ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT IN THE AREA OF HEALTHCARE STRENGTHENS
During the period of 12-14 January 2021, an online meeting with the delegation of the World Bank led by the head of the project group Susanna Ayropetyan was held.
At the talks, the Turkmen side was represented by the heads and representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry, as well as the MFA of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Bank on a wide range. The current programs and projects were evaluated.
The main goal of the talks was the discussion of the crediting issues of the project on response to COVID-19 in the framework of the Global multifaceted program approach to emergency situations COVID-19.
The delegation of the World Bank highly appraised the work of Turkmenistan aimed at combatting the spread of acute infectious diseases on the territory of the country. The parties underlined the necessity of developing multifaceted cooperation for overcoming the impacts of global pandemic on the systems of healthcare and economies of world countries.
Upon the outcomes of the talks, the parties signed the agreed Protocol of the meeting between Turkmenistan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development regarding the project on response to COVID-19 in the framework of the Global multifaceted program approach to emergency situations COVID-19.
