TURKMENISTAN ACTIVATES COOPERATION WITH JAPANESE COMPANIES
On January 28, 2021 the meeting was held in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in the format of videoconference with the President of Japanese Company «Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd» Mr.T.Watanabe.
The meeting was attended by the heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan, State Concern “Turkmen gas” as well as State Bank of Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan.
During the negotiations the parties discussed the positive experience of bilateral interaction and outlined new priorities for further intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation. Turkmenistan implements large-scale projects with the participation of the Japanese side and intends in future to actively continue the good traditions of interaction.
As is known, the industrial complex for the production of ecologically pure synthetic gasoline from natural gas was put into operation on the 28th of June, 2019 in Ahal region of Turkmenistan.
Representatives of Turkmen side highly evaluated the active participation of the Japanese side in the construction of the plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas as well as ensuring its smooth operation.
The Japanese side expressed to the Government of Turkmenistan its gratitude for the given confidence and readiness for the participation in the construction the above-mentioned large industrial purpose object.
Besides that, the parties discussed the issues of mutual investments in the given project by means of cooperation with advanced world financial institutions, including the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
