THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN: WE CONSIDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP IN THE ECO AS A RESPONSIBLE AND HIGH MISSION AND WILL SPEND OUR UTMOST EFFORTS FOR IT TO BE A SUCCESS

Speaking at the 14th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the unique geo-economic role of ECO, which has a positive impact on regional cooperation.

The Head of state underlined the essence of cooperation between the ECO Member States who are united geographically and historically, as well as by traditional customs and values. “We see facilitation to the unfolding of multifaceted opportunities of the partnership within the ECO in economic, trade, industrial, energy, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian spheres as the strategic mission,” noted President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Expressing gratitude to the ECO Member States for high trust in Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov added that the country regards the chairmanship in ECO as a responsible and high mission, and intends to spend its utmost efforts for successful implementation of the joint tasks.
