PARTICIPANTS OF THE ASHGABAT MEETING OF THE HEADS OF PARLIAMENTS UNDERLINED THE TIMELINESS OF HOLDING THE GIVEN FORUM

During today’s meeting of the heads of parliaments “The Role of Parliamentarians in Strengthening International Peace and Trust”, special role of the given forum was noted.   
The Chairwoman of the Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS participating states, Speaker of Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko has underlined the relevance of the meeting and added that trust has become the main element in the resolution of global problems in the area of economy, ecology and leading technologies.
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan stated the necessity of adopting concrete measures on the intensification of parliamentary relations between the countries, contributing to the establishment of peace and stability, advancement of trustful, friendly ties between the nations.  
In her speech, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova emphasized that the mission of parliamentarians lies in strengthening of mutual trust between countries and people, including the adoption of immediate resolutions on the agenda of international and regional life, and prevention of possible conflicts.  
The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko noted that the aim of parliamentarians is to propose positive constructive agenda for the community of nations based on the principles of equality, social justice, openness, trust and joint responsibility.    
In his speech, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China Li Zhanshu stated the importance of joint efforts on strengthening peace and trust between nations in the framework of the United Nations and other respected profile organizations.  
During his video statement, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan Tadamori Oshima has underlined the important role of parliamentarians who are acting as the bearers of democracy of the country, take active part in the promotion of international cooperation and struggle with the challenges of modern times.  
In his video statement, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug highlighted that the given meeting acts as the confirmation of the adherence of the parliamentarians to the establishment of peace and trust in the whole world, as well as the opportunity to attain three axis of the UN ideology: sustainable development, maintenance of peace and security and the promotion of human rights.     
The Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Zinaida Greceanii reiterated that in active participation of the parliamentary diplomacy, the international community would manage to reestablish trust and can focus the efforts on the resolution of pressing problems of modern times.   
In his speech, the Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani noted that the parliamentarians of all the countries must hold leading positions in strengthening peace and trust in the society. 
The Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Shentop stated that in the current situation when international solidarity has become more important than ever before, the parliamentary diplomacy plays a vital role in the provision of regional and international stability.  
In his speech, the Chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli (Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda Zoir underlined that multilateral dialogue aimed at the overall strengthening of peace, stability and guaranteed security is the most important condition for the provision of sustainable development of our countries.  
The Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva stated that the new political atmosphere is created in Central Asia.  The region has become a zone of stability, sustainable development and good neighborhood.  
The First Deputy Speaker of Upper House of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan  Mohammad Alam Izedyar, the Deputy Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Nurlan Abdirov, Deputy Speaker of the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic Aida Kasymaliyeva, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Olga Timofeyeva and the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov underlined that the activities of parliamentarians will be effective only if the work is carried out on the basis of mutual respect, open dialogue and equality.
