About the meeting of the Ambassador with the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan

On November 21, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Sh.Meredov met with the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva.

The parties stated that as a result of the constructive and mutually trusting dialogue that had developed between the leadership of the two states, Turkmen-Uzbek relations had reached a qualitatively new level.

During the meeting, issues of a political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian nature were discussed. It was emphasized that interparliamentary interaction occupies a special place in the development of bilateral relations.

Special attention is paid to cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In this context, an agreement was reached on organizing joint events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
