Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain presented copies of his credentials

On September 15, 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan S. Muhammetdurdyyev and the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Bassam Ahmed Ali Marzouk. At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of Bahrain presented copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post, the Turkmen side expressed its readiness to provide the diplomat with all possible assistance and support for his activities in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian areas.

The parties touched upon issues of interaction within the framework of international structures, primarily the UN. The importance of establishing inter-parliamentary ties, as well as intensifying cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries was emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador assured that he would make every effort to further develop the Turkmen-Bahraini partnership.
