Astrakhan Hosts a Concert to Mark 25 Years of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality

On December 10, 2020, an online concert entitled “Music of the Soul” was held in the assembly hall of Astrakhan State Technical University (ASTU). With the assistance of the University’s senior executives and jointly with students from different countries, Turkmen students organized the concert celebrating 25 years of Turkmenistan’s neutrality. Online viewers had the chance to listen to poems by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Pyragy and pop and national songs in Turkmen and foreign languages. The virtual event also featured a video film about Turkmenistan’s achievements in different fields, and a video message of congratulations from ASTU Rector A. N. Nevalenny. Kushtdepdi, the Turkmen national dance, brought the festive concert to a close.

On December 17, 2020, the Center for the Turkmen Language and Culture at Astrakhan State Technical University will hold one more online concert devoted to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.

On December 8, an article entitled “Turkmenistan Marks 25 Years of Its Neutrality” was published on the website of Moskovsky Komsomolets in collaboration with the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (the city of Astrakhan) and the Agency for International Relations of the Astrakhan Region.
